On Monday, the 16th of January, Master P and Snoop Dogg announced that they have officially entered a partnership with Post Consumer Brands for national distribution of their breakfast food products. The partnership will see the launch of three new flavors of cereal hitting grocery store shelves nationwide in June of 2023: Fruity Hoopz, Cinnamon Toasteez, and Frosted Drizzlers. The cereal brand character is Captain Ace, also known as The Kobe of Cereal.

This is a significant achievement for Master P and Snoop Dogg, as they become the first black-owned cereal company with a national distribution deal. Master P shared a video of himself celebrating the deal with Post employees, captioning the video “HAPPY MLK DAY @snoopdogg and I are the first black-owned cereal company with a national distribution deal. Salute to @post_cereals for believing in diversity.”

The serial entrepreneur also promised that Snoop Cereal and Broadus Foods’ alliance with Post only marks the start of their climb to the top of the breakfast food industry. “This is only the beginning,” P acknowledged. “We’re going to work hard. We know it’s not going to be easy and there’s a lot of competition out there but we’ve never been afraid to work.”

In August 2022, Master P and Snoop Dogg announced the release of their cereal brand, which was originally named Snoop Loopz. However, after being threatened with legal action in December 2022, the duo were forced to change the name of the brand, ultimately settling on Snoop Cereal as the official replacement. During the unveiling of Snoop Cereal, Master P first hinted at a partnership between Broadus Foods and Post being in the works.

The partnership between Master P, Snoop Dogg, and Post is not only a win for the two music moguls, but it is also a win for diversity and representation in the food industry. Master P stated, "We wanna make sure that we are able to put minority and African American products inside of these major grocery stores, and help open the door for other African American owned products and brands. We are building generational wealth and economic empowerment."
